About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own OpEx and headcount budgets across Engineering, Product, and Design.
- Build bottoms-up headcount models by function and level and sequence hiring against roadmap needs, compliance requirements, and operational scale.
- Develop forecasting models for cloud hosting, AI/compute, internal tooling, SaaS applications, and enterprise systems.
- Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, capitalizable versus expensed R&D, and vendor investments.
- Lead monthly budget-versus-actuals reviews, automate reporting, improve accrual accuracy, and surface actionable insights.
- Implement fast, transparent approval workflows for headcount, vendor spend, and enterprise tooling using automation and AI.
- Partner with Engineering leadership, People, and Strategic Finance.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven partner to Engineering leaders; experience supporting technical teams and corporate functions.
- Understanding of cloud economics, AI/compute scaling, enterprise tooling, and architecture and vendor impacts on margins.
- Experience managing complex headcount models across multiple departments.
- Ability to build scenario-driven financial models with clear assumptions and sensitivity analysis.
- Precision-focused and systems-oriented approach to forecasting, accrual accuracy, and scalable processes.
