About the role

  • Lead the commercial breast oncology organization and shape the future of diagnostic medicine.
  • Launch and establish the Prosigna Breast Cancer Assay as a first-in-class Laboratory Developed Test (LDT) in the United States.
  • Recruit, hire, train and mentor a team of sales professionals and account executives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business plans and sales strategies; coordinate with MSL and Marketing to develop HCP education and marketing tools.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), large accounts and other stakeholders.
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, medical affairs, managed care, customer service and billing to optimize product and customer experience.
  • Monitor sales performance, provide coaching and feedback, and report results and plans to company leadership.
  • Ensure the sales team is compliant with Veracyte policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience launching diagnostic tests and developing sales strategy.
  • Proven ability to coach sales leaders and recruit/hire top talent; experience mentoring teams.
  • Experience with performance management, evaluating sales metrics, and channel development.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of the breast oncology space and strong clinical acumen.
  • Ability to navigate complex healthcare systems and foster trusted, value-driven relationships with physicians.
  • At least 15 years of related experience in diagnostics, life sciences, or medical technology.
  • At least 10 years of previous sales leadership experience in healthcare; preferably diagnostics or medical devices.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Ensure compliance with Veracyte policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
