About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support to employees on all matters related to Human Resources, answering questions and providing information.
  • Perform all activities related to time and attendance management processes to comply with legal requirements and internal procedures, monitoring updates resulting from collective bargaining agreements and union conventions, and ensuring proper adjustments in the payroll system.
  • Handle inquiries related to medical certificates, time declarations, and leaves of absence.
  • Perform system configurations such as setting up time banks (compensatory hours), adjusting schedules and shifts, and ensuring all configurations comply with collective agreements and labor laws.
  • Register employees in the time and attendance system, review and validate records and monthly closures to calculate overtime, absences, and tardiness for accurate payroll processing.
  • Monitor the working hours of apprentices and interns.
  • Execute the employee vacation process, controlling due dates, performing calculations, and forwarding for payment.
  • Configure system parameters for holidays (national, state, and municipal) across all locations to ensure correct time and attendance calculations and proper vacation entitlements.
  • Manage leave processes with the Brazilian social security institute (INSS) and return-to-work procedures, monitoring medical examinations, arranging return-to-work medical exams, and coordinating vocational rehabilitation when necessary.
  • Maintain benefit-related records for employees on leave.
  • Send the monthly roster of employees on leave to the external consultancy.
  • Coordinate with the consultancy on the status of employees on leave and notify local HR when benefits cease or when benefit codes convert from B31 to B91.
  • Track receipt of medical certificates to justify legally excused absences for payroll calculation and generate absenteeism indicators for reports and PPR calculations.
  • Generate area indicators/KPIs related to time and attendance, vacation, and leave processes.
  • Assist with labor inspections conducted by the Ministry of Labor by providing requested documentation.
  • Participate in corporate project implementations as needed.
