About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Safely and efficiently operate the sludge treatment plant while complying with OHS requirements
- Understand daily process, maintenance, and operational issues
- Perform routine work orders, preventive maintenance, and breakdown tasks
- Monitor plant operations and assist in plant optimisation
- Collect samples and conduct laboratory analysis
- Troubleshoot processes, solve problems, and identify process improvements
- Carry out routine maintenance, including managing resources, tools, and equipment
- Contribute to a safety-first and continuous improvement culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current car licence
- Experience in plant operations preferred, or currently studying a related field with site experience
- Knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment preferred
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised
- Prepared to undertake a full pre-employment medical check, including drug and alcohol screening
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance
- Compliance with Veolia’s zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy
