About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Safely and efficiently operate the sludge treatment plant while complying with OHS requirements
  • Understand daily process, maintenance, and operational issues
  • Perform routine work orders, preventive maintenance, and breakdown tasks
  • Monitor plant operations and assist in plant optimisation
  • Collect samples and conduct laboratory analysis
  • Troubleshoot processes, solve problems, and identify process improvements
  • Carry out routine maintenance, including managing resources, tools, and equipment
  • Contribute to a safety-first and continuous improvement culture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current car licence
  • Experience in plant operations preferred, or currently studying a related field with site experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment preferred
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • Prepared to undertake a full pre-employment medical check, including drug and alcohol screening
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance
  • Compliance with Veolia’s zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy
