About the role

  • Ensure that the technical solutions for hydropower projects meet contract requirements and design standards
  • Work closely with the Lead Engineer to understand customer needs and design cost-effective, high-quality solutions
  • Responsible for documentation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring that all deadlines are met
  • Play a key role in project coordination, monitoring design progress, and resolving challenges together with the Project Manager
  • Occasional travel, mainly in Sweden and Norway

Requirements

  • A strong technical background, preferably a B.Sc. or M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering
  • Several years of experience in electrical design and practical design tasks
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD, Febdok)
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and standards (e.g., IEC, DOK80)
  • Fluency in Finnish and English; Swedish is considered as an advantage
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to take independent responsibility for your tasks
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience specifically from hydropower or other power plant environments
