About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage multiple accounting systems (QuickBooks Online, Paylocity, SaaSOptics/Maxio, Bill.com, etc.)
Enter accounts payable invoices, collect approvals, and reconcile vendors.
Process annual 1099’s
Create and post journal entries.
Assist with other accounting projects and research requests.
Account for related party transactions
Assemble financial data for audits and internal review.
Maintain orderly financial filing system.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, building support documentation and schedules as needed for reconciliations.
Prepare and create reporting as needed (i.e., system-generated reports such as Income, Statement, Balance Sheet) and use Excel to create reporting that is not system-generated
Track, calculate, and report on monthly sales commissions
Process biweekly payroll and manage employee expense reporting process. (Review hours worked, commissions, paid time off, and expense reports)
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
5+ years’ experience in general accounting (AP, AR, bookkeeping, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, payroll)
Experience with QuickBooks Online required
Experience with Bill.com preferred
Attention to detail and critical thinker
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including intermediate to expert Excel skills
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction
Self-motivated and works well in teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
