About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee and evaluate operational performance to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards
Train, coach, and mentor operations personnel and leadership
Lead implementation of new technologies, processes, and operational initiatives
Conduct quality audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Manage and review all key performance indicators (KPIs)
Lead KPI review meetings and communicate performance trends and gaps
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
Support new operation start-ups, including project management of implementation plans
Demonstrate a consistently positive and professional demeanor, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment
Handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
5+ years of experience in operations, quality management, or logistics leadership roles
Proven experience managing KPIs, audits, and operational performance
Experience leading teams, training, and mentoring staff
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field (preferred)
Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain environments (preferred)
Project management experience, including leading system or process implementations (preferred)
Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with data tracking and KPI reporting
Proficiency with operational and logistics systems, including: TMW, TotalMail, PeopleNet, Samsara
