About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Clean lint, dust, oil, and grease from production equipment, removing parts as needed and reassembling equipment for all production lines
  • Clean overhead pipes and conveyors
  • Clean processing tanks and vats, and clean or change filters as required
  • Assist with daily operational production efficiency and sanitation duties
  • Maintain sanitation-related equipment
  • Clean floors using sanitation chemicals and transport trash and waste to the disposal area
  • Participate in training new hires and transfers
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and on time
  • Comply with GMP, safety procedures, company policies, quality policies, HACCP requirements, SQF code, FSMA, and Preventive Controls
  • Operate a forklift or hand lift to transport materials
  • Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1 year of experience
  • Prior sanitation experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred
  • Good reading and math skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Complete training and develop working knowledge of sanitation responsibilities for all production lines
  • Ability to operate a forklift or hand lift as needed
  • Ability to comply with GMP, safety, quality, HACCP, SQF, FSMA, and Preventive Controls requirements
