About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Operate filling and/or packaging equipment
  • Complete daily and weekly preventive maintenance tasks
  • Adjust and align primary machine functions
  • Make minor mechanical repairs and replace certain defective parts
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary HMI adjustments
  • Maintain daily production and quality records
  • Operate equipment safely and keep the work area clean
  • Assist in training and evaluating production assistants and trainees
  • Install and maintain information in the product library
  • Sanitize filling-line equipment, operate C.I.P. circuits, and mix chemicals in correct proportions
  • Follow food safety policies, procedures, and regulatory criteria, including SQF, GMPs, FSMA, and preventive controls
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of filling and packaging equipment
  • Good mechanical ability
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical abnormalities
  • Ability to set up and maintain machinery and make routine adjustments
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments in the HMI
  • Ability to train and evaluate trainees
  • Ability to follow food safety policies, SQF code, GMPs, FSMA, and preventive controls
  • Ability to follow safety requirements and wear required PPE
