About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the workflow at our facilities
- Focus on meeting production goals, quality, safety, people leadership, engagement, and cost objectives
- Responsible for performance management including direction setting, accountability, coaching, feedback, performance reviews, and development
- Monitor the production process utilizing RedZone and by engaging with the area team on the floor
- Escalate production issues and communicate within a timely manner
- Plan, organize, and delegate work assignments to accommodate schedules and best utilize manpower and equipment
- Complete administrative tasks such as interviewing new team members, planning & scheduling, safety reporting, and system entries
- Ensure product specifications are met and notify production manager and quality assurance if product quality is questioned
- Resolve quality issues through personnel training and enforcement of standards
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 3-5 years as front line supervisor in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Experience in food manufacturing facilities and knowledge of GMP's, HACCP, and sanitation practices is helpful
- Must possess knowledge of the manufacturing environment
- Skill set of strong leadership capability and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross functionally and upwards
- Skill set must include strong analytical ability, observation, and coaching skills
- Ability to motivate, lead, and engage employees
- Excellent problem solving skills and strong work ethic
