About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage daily activities across accounting functions, including general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Oversee monthly balance-sheet reconciliations
Perform and review general-ledger account reconciliations
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting
Analyze, review, verify, and post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
Investigate and correct accounting entries as needed
Prepare and review reports and ad hoc analyses for internal and external purposes
Support the accounts receivable process, ensuring billing accuracy and timeliness
Maintain the billing system and generate and send invoices
Maintain client invoicing and bill-payment records
Monitor aging balances and assess collectability
Ensure revenue recorded complies with US GAAP
Assist internal and external auditors with periodic audits of financial records and statements
Reconcile and adjust bank accounts to manage cash flow
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government and tax requirements
Oversee, mentor, and support the growth of assigned Finance staff
Administer departmental policies and procedures and evaluate results and performance
Assist with developing budgets, strategic plans, and policies
Perform special projects and other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, healthcare finance or related field preferred
At least eight to ten years (8-10) in healthcare finance, accounting, treasury or related field
Prior Management Experience preferred
CPA preferred
In-depth understanding of accounting and finance concepts and principles
Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies
Strong leadership/management skills
Strong presentation development and delivery skills
Strong knowledge in accounting and/or finance
Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills
Strong knowledge of Outlook and Great Plains software or equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning software
Strong math skills
Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner
Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast-paced environment
Ability to deliver high-quality service excellence with high attention to detail
Understanding of and compliance with company policies and procedures
