About the role
- Review and modify company agreements (review 5 existing company agreements and modify as needed)
- Draft/update HR policies and ensure compliance with Philippine labor law
- Conduct onboarding sessions with new Virtual Assistants, explaining terms of engagement and HR policies
- Provide first-level HR support and conflict resolution
- Liaise with local law firms for representation or complex matters
- Maintain compliance documentation and templates (NDAs, notices, consultancy agreements)
- Track updates in Philippine labor regulations relevant to remote/BPO workers
Requirements
- Licensed lawyer in the Philippines OR law graduate/paralegal with strong HR and labor law background
- 2+ years of experience in contract drafting, HR compliance, or employment law
- Familiarity with Philippine Labor Code and BPO/outsourcing legal frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience working with remote teams and international clients preferred
- (Nice-to-have) Background in healthcare or healthcare staffing industry
- (Nice-to-have) Knowledge of data privacy regulations (Philippines Data Privacy Act, HIPAA basics)
- (Nice-to-have) Experience creating employee handbooks and HR process documentation
