About the role

  • Venatus is an award-winning global ad-tech platform connecting advertisers with premium gaming and entertainment publishers
  • Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise ETL and streaming data pipelines
  • Report into the Principal Engineer and collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to integrate diverse data sources
  • Support analytics, reporting, decision-making, and strengthen BI and AI/ML capabilities
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of scalable, efficient data pipelines and frameworks for end-to-end reporting and analytics
  • Enhance pipelines to generate derived business metrics for real-time monitoring, alerting, and actionable insights
  • Develop data workflows to support AI/ML model creation
  • Support strategies that maintain the highest levels of data quality and consistency
  • Build proactive monitoring systems to ensure data reliability and identify potential issues
  • Design efficient data storage and retrieval strategies to minimise overhead and maximise performance

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role
  • Expertise in data warehousing, orchestration, and architecture
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience in relational databases
  • Strong programming skills in Python (or equivalent languages)
  • Hands-on experience developing in Kubernetes environments
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience with DBT
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with digital advertising technologies
  • Nice to have: Experience with Clickhouse
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of Dagster
  • Nice to have: Experience with Go
