About the role

  • Report to the CEO and help create intuitive interfaces that help medical practices focus on patient care by making complex insurance and billing workflows feel effortless
  • Create user experiences demonstrating deep empathy for healthcare providers, understanding their daily workflows, time constraints, and critical administrative tasks
  • Develop interfaces that convey reliability, security, and expertise to reinforce Silna's credibility as a healthcare operations partner
  • Infuse design into Silna’s culture and ethos and define the design function
  • Transform intricate insurance workflows and billing processes into clear, intuitive user experiences that reduce cognitive load and prevent errors
  • Partner with marketing to ensure consistent visual identity and messaging across digital touchpoints, website, product interfaces, marketing materials and conference presentations
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate user research insights into design solutions that improve practice efficiency and reduce administrative burden
  • Build and maintain design systems that ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency as the product grows

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product design experience in B2B software or SaaS companies
  • Portfolio demonstrating successful design of complex workflow solutions
  • Strong understanding of user research methodologies and data-driven design decisions
  • Experience designing for multiple user types and stakeholder groups
  • Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.) and prototyping
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and marketing teams
  • Experience building design systems and processes from scratch at high-growth companies (preferred)
  • History of designing workflow automation or business process software (preferred)
  • Understanding of healthcare operations, billing, or insurance processes (preferred)
  • Experience with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices (preferred)
  • Experience being an early design hire at a high-growth startup (preferred)
  • Ability to defend design decisions with data and trust instincts
