About the role
- Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to corporate strategy, investor relations, and capital planning discussions
- Develop, lead and execute a comprehensive growth strategy across customer acquisition, market penetration, and product adoption that aligns with the company’s vision, revenue goals, and market opportunities within the financial services ecosystem
- Identify and pursue new revenue streams, strategic partnerships, and business models to increase top-line growth
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product, Consulting and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment and execution of growth initiatives
- Collaborate on go-to-market strategy for launching new products and entering new segments within the banking and financial technology sector
- Define clear growth objectives and roadmaps, balancing short-term performance with long-term strategic value
- Identify and expand new revenue streams
- Identify new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and innovative channels for expansion
- Own responsibility for revenue generation, market expansion, and customer acquisition across all channels
- Oversee sales enablement, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies for new products and services
- Partner with the CFO and CEO to align budget planning and resource allocation with growth priorities
- Oversee and integrate efforts across marketing, sales, product development, and customer success to optimize lead generation, conversion, and retention
- Foster relationships with financial institutions, fintech partners, and other strategic stakeholders to enhance distribution and co-innovation opportunities
- Drive and foster a culture of innovation and experimentation by testing new channels, campaigns, and product-market fit hypotheses to uncover scalable growth levers
- Build and lead high-performing teams focused on growth, with clear KPIs and a performance-driven mindset
- Leverage data analytics to evaluate performance, uncover insights, and guide decision-making across customer acquisition, conversion, and retention
- Responsible for ensuring that exceptional service is delivered to both internal and external clients by doing what’s right for credit unions
- Represent the company at industry events, strategic partnership meetings, and investor briefings as a thought leader and brand ambassador
- Keep ahead of regulatory developments, market trends, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decision-making
- Responsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management. Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in growth, sales, project management, business development, or commercial leadership roles within banking, fintech, or financial technology companies, with 7 years in a senior leadership and strategic role
- Previous financial/payments industry experience
- Demonstrated success in driving significant revenue and customer growth within an enterprise
- Deep understanding of growth funnels, digital marketing, sales enablement, customer success, and product-led growth
- Knowledge of the competitive landscape to determine product and market pricing
- Experience working with external industry consultants to sign new business
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Comfortable managing a high degree of business travel, typically >50%
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
