About the role
- Manage indirect categories across Velcro’s global business sites.
- Responsible for all aspects of category management for strategic and complex purchases.
- Lead all sourcing, contract and price negotiations, supplier management, and reporting.
- Drive competitive category strategies to achieve the lowest total delivered cost and reduce working capital.
- Ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures.
- Understand the technical requirements of diverse business units to provide support.
- Manage supplier performance and ensure supply continuity for the business.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a business-related field (business, finance, supply chain) or engineering.
- A minimum of 8+ years of experience in a Procurement role for Indirect materials &/services.
- Knowledge of the Indirect-related categories (professional services, MRO, CAPEX, Logistics & Facilities) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and project management skills are required, along with excellent communication skills and leadership through influence.
- Individuals must be self-starter and a skilled negotiator with strategic thinking skills.
- An ability to work in a matrix environment and coordinate projects across sites and Business Units is critical
