About the role

  • Define, develop and achieve performance/scalability benchmarks for Veeva Applications
  • Test and optimize Veeva’s CDMS software prior to release
  • Use profiling tools (e.g., Yourkit) to identify and resolve performance and concurrency bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to align benchmarks with customer use cases and usage patterns
  • Monitor production performance, investigate and troubleshoot performance issues
  • Develop tools to automate performance monitoring and benchmarking
  • Gather and analyze performance data to find root causes of bottlenecks

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Performance Engineering and Benchmarking
  • Proficiency with Java, MySQL, and scripting tools such as Python and Shell scripting
  • Extensive hands-on experience with performance engineering, including the use of JMeter, LoadRunner or similar tools
  • Proficiency with profiling tools such as Yourkit to identify performance and concurrency bottlenecks
  • Ability to find the root cause of performance bottlenecks with profiling tools
  • Expert in distributed computing systems and stack
  • Comfortable with Linux, Docker, AWS, GIT, Artifactory and systems administration
  • Strong mentoring experience with a proven record of improving teams
