About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the Group’s insurance programs, including broker and insurer tenders
- Execute renewals of the Group insurance programs and run broker and insurer tenders
- Coordinate with brokers on Master policies: deployment of local policies, collection of renewal information, monitoring issuance of certificates, review of documentation, and review of reporting (policies, claims)
- Ensure policies and endorsements evolve in line with insurance market capacity
- Oversee and participate in the operational management of the annual program lifecycle (premium allocations & invoicing, renewal instructions, issuance of contracts, endorsements & certificates, etc.)
- Manage complex claims across all lines of business through to settlement in coordination with Accounting and the Group’s subsidiaries
- Supervise claims handling across different insurance lines and coordinate internal stakeholders’ actions in response to requests from adjusters, brokers or insurers (file monitoring and updates, recovery actions against third parties, reporting updates, etc.)
- Lead the Group-level fire risk prevention and protection strategy
- Participate in risk visits at sites designated by insurers
- Work with operational teams to implement insurers’ recommendations
- Collaborate with Legal and operational teams to draft liability and insurance clauses for commercial contracts and indirect procurement
- Participate in cross-functional Group projects
- Implement internal insurance training and procedures
- Prepare the annual Group insurance budget based on renewal conditions and manage it with Finance for allocation across Group subsidiaries
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s-level qualification (Master II equivalent) in insurance is required (examples: ESA, ENASS, IAP)
- Approximately 5–7 years of solid insurance experience gained within an international group, a large insurance company or a broker
- Able to address both financial and legal aspects of insurance matters with a strong understanding of risk
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Strong interpersonal skills combined with critical thinking and the ability to synthesize information
- Organized, rigorous and autonomous; proactive, open-minded and business-oriented
- Ability to operate effectively in an international environment
