About the role

  • Prepare payments related to expense notes, payroll and VAT
  • Extract, validate and analyze tax returns such as VAT and withholding taxes
  • Manage payroll postings and follow-up analysis
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for all companies
  • Support day-to-day accounting activities ensuring accuracy of financial records
  • Collaborate in preparation of Financial Statements and Corporate Income Tax calculations
  • Manage timely filing of tax-related documents (VAT declarations, INE and Banco España surveys)
  • Support annual audit process by providing documentation to auditors
  • Provide backup during holidays to cover additional accounting tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or economics
  • 3 years progressive finance experience
  • Experience in financial audit (Big4 preferred) — listed as plus
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP and/or S/4HANA
  • Very good knowledge of Excel & Google Sheets
  • Fluent English and Spanish
  • Ability to work proactively and independently; strong team-working skills
  • Ability to adapt to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of French (strong plus)
