About the role

  • Their primary mission is to provide internal clients with all payroll-related information necessary for business leaders to manage their activity and to advise them in decision-making. They also act as a point of contact for the Finance & Administration Department on matters of internal control, planning and reporting.
  • **Activity 1 – Monthly close:**
  • Ensure the monthly payroll close for the entities within their scope as well as for certain income statement lines at Group level.
  • Manage provisions and all payroll-related accounting entries within their scope.
  • **Activity 2 – Analysis and reporting:**
  • Monitor the budget: analyze and explain variances versus prior year (N-1), the budget and forecasts.
  • Consolidate and track monthly personnel costs and headcount (FTE) against budget and forecast.
  • Verify the consistency of analytical information.
  • Present and discuss results with business partners.
  • Explain changes in headcount using key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • **Activity 3 – Budget and forecasting:**
  • Prepare payroll budgets and forecasts in coordination with operational departments and financial controllers.
  • Explain changes in payroll costs and headcount.
  • Present the budget and forecasts for their scope.
  • **Activity 4 – Other tasks:**
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to payroll and compensation.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and reporting.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to ensure data quality and monitor changes specific to each scope.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a management/control position, ideally within an international, multi-site and/or technology-driven group.
  • Excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of HR information systems (SAP, Workday, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to structure processes.
  • Autonomy, a strong sense of priorities and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, HR and business teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and team spirit, with ease collaborating at all levels of the organization (HR Business Partners, HR Managers, controllers from other Group scopes).
  • Data-oriented mindset: ability to use figures and relevant information to support recommendations and decision-making.
  • Rigour, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Fluent in French and English.
