About the role
- Support/maintenance/troubleshooting of virtualization infrastructure – Vmware mainly, some Hyper-V and KVM based virtualization solutions (Proxmox, XCP-ng)
- Remote support/maintenance/troubleshooting of enterprise-grade hardware: Server hardware (Generic IPMI/iDRAC/iLO); Data Storage Systems (DAS, iSCSI, FC, NVMEoF)
- Support/maintenance/troubleshooting of foundational infrastructure services: DHCP, DNS, MS AD
- Communicating with other participants of the product development and testing process regarding technical issues (HW/SW related)
- Tasks and procedures optimization and automation
- Proactive research of new approaches and solutions
- Writing and keeping up to date internal KB articles
- Monitoring services management and maintenance (Zabbix, Vmware Aria for logs/Operations)
- Support/maintenance/troubleshooting of local backup solutions (VBR)
- Keeping asset information up to date
Requirements
- Technical education or passion for technology
- 2 plus years on similar position
- English B1 (communication within the team, with vendors support by email/MS Teams)
- Knowledge of Microsoft software stack and key technologies (Windows Server, Hyper-V, AD, DNS, DHCP)
- Administration experience of VMware vSphere products or KVM based virtualization solutions
- Experience in implementing new services/software solutions
- Scripting experience (PowerShell/Python)
