About the role

  • Leading a team of engineers, mentoring and growing them
  • Hiring new engineers and onboarding them to the team
  • Collaborating with product managers and other engineering teams to deliver new product features
  • Owning (designing, developing in Go, and testing) significant features in the Veeam Kasten product related to backup and recovery of Kubernetes applications, databases, and storage systems
  • Working with and contributing to the cloud-native open-source community
  • Preparing technical documentation and specifications

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing a team of engineers
  • 5+ years of experience developing enterprise solutions in a high-level programing language such as C++, Java, or C#, and a willingness to learn Go
  • Expertise in developing, testing and debugging production-quality, scalable, multi-threaded, concurrent systems
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures and algorithms)
  • A university degree in a technical field or equivalent industry experience
