About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide direct patient care to patients and families
Assist in coordinating team-delivered services
Complete psychosocial assessments
Develop treatment plans congruent with the overall healthcare plan
Provide psychosocial interventions
Educate patients, family members, staff, and social work students
Facilitate compliance with treatment

Participate in service area meetings, training, and patient care conferences
May supervise social work students and students from other disciplines depending on assignment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Virginia preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of clinical social work experience
At least one (1) year of experience in a specialty practice area
Master of Social Work Degree from a Council on Social Work Education accredited program
Clinical social work experience in an acute care setting preferred
May be required to work alternate schedules, weekends and/or holidays, and take call
May be required to work alternate unit assignments, including at other clinical locations
Ability to lift less than 20 lbs.
Prolonged standing and sitting; frequent bending, walking, and overhead/extensive/repetitive reaching
Strong recall, reasoning, problem solving, hearing, clear speech, legible writing, reading, and logical thinking
Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy environment, handle multiple priorities, manage frequent and intense customer interactions, and adapt to frequent change
