About the role
- Lead the design and implementation of Virtual server solutions to meet business requirements
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the Virtual server environment, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server.
- Monitor and troubleshoot complex server issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement and manage virtualization solutions to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate VMware server solutions with other systems and Applications.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices for server management.
- Participate in the server build process
- Participate in server installation within data centers, including rack and stack activities
- Mentor and train junior team members.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT operational systems
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in managing and supporting Virtual server environments.
- Expertise in advanced Virtual server technologies, including physical and virtual servers.
- Extensive experience with system monitoring, performance tuning tools, and automation.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale Virtual server projects and initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, especially for complex server issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Extensive experience with server provisioning and performance monitoring tools.
