About the role

  • Lead the design and implementation of Virtual server solutions to meet business requirements
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of the Virtual server environment, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot complex server issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Implement and manage virtualization solutions to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate VMware server solutions with other systems and Applications.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices for server management.
  • Participate in the server build process
  • Participate in server installation within data centers, including rack and stack activities
  • Mentor and train junior team members.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT operational systems

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in managing and supporting Virtual server environments.
  • Expertise in advanced Virtual server technologies, including physical and virtual servers.
  • Extensive experience with system monitoring, performance tuning tools, and automation.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale Virtual server projects and initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, especially for complex server issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Extensive experience with server provisioning and performance monitoring tools.
