About the role
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on assigned equipment.
- Perform installation, validation and maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Lead communications with customers and serve as escalation point for customer-related concerns including installs.
- Own customer issues from dispatch or identification of issue to resolution.
- Ensure equipment meets established safety and performance standards through rigorous testing and quality control procedures.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to the use of equipment.
- Assist in the procurement, installation, commissioning and maintenance of new technology for delivery.
- Partner with the customer and recommend value-added services that will help the customer.
- Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner, ordering repair parts, and managing cycle times.
Requirements
- Associate’s in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the repair and/or maintenance of electronic equipment and/or medical equipment associated with Imaging.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the repair and/ or maintenance of Advanced Imaging and/or Radiation Oncology equipment involving at least 2 major imaging contracted vendors utilized at VCUHS.
- Full understanding of electrical principles and theory, Electrical Safety, Basic electrical instrumentation care and use, and basic understanding of healthcare structure and environment.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Applications and understanding of computer functions.
- Sound knowledge of software applications relevant to Advanced Imaging and/or Radiation Oncology equipment involving major imaging contracted vendors utilized at VCUHS.
- Complete understanding of the networking of the equipment to internal and external systems.
