About the role
- Conducts evaluations on referred patients
- Plans and implements a comprehensive treatment program
- Includes discharge planning, patient/family education, and follow-up recommendations
- Documents results of the OT evaluation and services provided
- Participates as a member of a self-directed departmental team
- Provides clinical instruction to OT and OTA students as needed
- Provides training and education to department and hospital staff
Requirements
- Licensed (or licensed eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an Occupational Therapist
- Completion of licensing requirements for new graduates within 1 year of graduation
- Maintenance of licensure once granted
- Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area
- New graduate to up to 2 years of work experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous affiliation or work experience at a similar facility
- Graduate of an accredited School of Occupational Therapy
- Masters or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy
