Lead controllership functions for VCA Animal Hospitals, including accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, and treasury
Collaborate with MVH stakeholders to align financial practices and ensure consistency in reporting and controls
Lead all aspects of accounting and financial reporting ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Maintain the integrity of financial records and a strong internal control environment
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reporting requirements
Partner with leadership to ensure financial results reflect business operations
Provide clear financial insights, identifying risks and opportunities to improve performance
Lead and support finance transformation initiatives including shared services and process standardization
Drive adoption of automation and digital solutions to improve efficiency
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Related Field
Master’s degree
10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or controllership
Experience in multi-site, healthcare, or service-based organizations strongly preferred
CPA preferred
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials)
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
