About the role

  • Define and execute the overall vision for municipal and league partnerships, aligning with VC3’s growth objectives.
  • Develop and deliver on annual goals for league engagement, retention, and expansion of endorsed partnerships.
  • Monitor KPIs across all league relationships and report performance to executive leadership.
  • Identify and manage all muni / state level bidding systems to ensure VC3 is listed / present where appropriate.
  • Align with internal stakeholders to ensure VC3 offerings match municipal needs.
  • Support sales and strategy as they achieve revenue targets tied to league partnerships and collaborate with sales leadership to achieve growth objectives.
  • Serve as the executive liaison for league partners, maintaining strong relationships with league leadership.
  • Act as the escalation point for high-impact issues raised by leagues and provide support on sensitive issues with member municipalities (including league interface and management).
  • Participate in the semi-annual strategic partner planning meetings – in person.
  • Refine and standardize processes for league engagement, including partner planning meetings, event participation, and communication cadence.
  • Ensure VC3 leaders follow best practices for relationship management and provide coaching to maintain consistency.
  • Coordinate internal resources (sales, marketing, operations) to support league initiatives and resolve service concerns promptly.
  • Oversee VC3’s presence at municipal league conferences and events, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives (fostering relationships with leagues, investing in current client relationships and generating new leads).
  • Inform educational and thought leadership for league newsletters, webinars, and training sessions.
  • Support marketing efforts to amplify VC3’s league partnerships through social media, website content, and collateral.
  • Identify opportunities to expand partnerships into new territories and leagues in the municipal space.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to convert league-sourced leads into new business.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices for partnership management.
  • Develop creative ways of encouraging Leagues to refer members (Grant support, etc).
  • Support and mentor local VC3 leaders responsible for league relationships.
  • Participate in quarterly reviews to assess league health and identify improvement areas.
  • Lead monthly check-ins with local VC3 leaders to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration between Strategy, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in strategic partnerships, business development, or account management.
  • 5+ years working with municipalities; experience with leagues or municipal IT services, compliance and regulations preferred.
  • Proven experience managing association-level relationships and demonstrated ability to influence revenue outcomes and manage partnership-driven sales strategies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel to league events and conferences (approx. 40%).
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams
