About the role
- Autonomously manage and modernize our compliance framework, including legislative monitoring, internal directives, updating and tracking regulatory risks and executing associated controls, preparing management reports, organizing and chairing our Compliance and Outsourcing Committee meetings, and delivering training to our employees on compliance topics (excluding AML).
- Coordinate and lead internal activities required to respond to requests, surveys and inquiries from supervisory authorities (FINMA, SIX Exchange Regulation, etc.), as well as prepare and support periodic on-site FINMA inspections and make the necessary notifications to ensure the continuous compliance of the operating plan (e.g., for essential outsourced activities).
- Identify and provide legal support to the business in the analysis of new legal developments affecting our company, and monitor the implementation of measures necessary to ensure the ongoing compliance of operations with regulatory changes (excluding AML), as well as contribute legal expertise to related regulatory projects where applicable.
- Plan, develop and deliver training and awareness activities on compliance topics in French and German, together with colleagues from the Legal & Compliance unit and other company functions.
- Receive and handle, in collaboration with the Head of Legal & Compliance and HR, reports of violations of our Code of Conduct or internal rules and alerts concerning unauthorized transfers of company data.
- Collaborate, among others, with our Risk Office, our internal training unit (Campus) and our Fraud Prevention Service on cross-cutting or multifaceted compliance matters.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Swiss law; postgraduate training in compliance is an asset
- Minimum 8 years’ professional experience in managing compliance frameworks (excluding AML) within an insurance company, a financial intermediary or a Swiss audit firm
- Essential experience in implementing and using compliance management tools in a corporate environment
- Knowledge of Swiss private insurance regulation is a major asset
- Native French speaker with excellent command of German (min. C1 level)
- Ability to work and deliver autonomously while demonstrating team spirit. You are pragmatic, solution-oriented, very comfortable in interpersonal contacts and possess excellent communication skills.
