About the role

  • Co-develop customer journey maps and translate into email, SMS, and direct mail flows.
  • Specify flow filters, triggers, conditional splits, target audience, and Klaviyo settings.
  • Implement advanced automations and segmentation for onboarding, replenishment, cross-sells, winbacks, abandons, and offer tests.
  • Map and document flow logic, maintain and improve existing flows, and test new flows for technical accuracy and deliverability.
  • Manage end-to-end execution of one-time and recurring email campaigns including QA and Klaviyo configuration (sending profiles, timing, throttling, exclusions).
  • Build and maintain content calendar/strategy for promotional, evergreen, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Collaborate with copywriters, designers, retention manager, and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive customer journey and brand voice.
  • Manage Klaviyo list, segment, filter, and tag hygiene; design pop-ups and zero-party data capture; A/B test pop-ups.
  • Monitor deliverability and sender reputation; troubleshoot bounce spikes, spam complaints, and deliverability issues.
  • Report daily/weekly/monthly on campaign and flow performance; run continuous A/B tests and analyze results.
  • Work with measurement/data teams to build reports (Google Data Studio, data warehouse) and present insights.
  • Coordinate projects with internal teams and external agencies/vendors; provide and review deliverables with vendors like Klaviyo and Recart.
  • Compile, review, and submit email and SMS invoices for approval and follow-up.

Requirements

  • 3+ years (3-5 years typical) of direct, hands-on email marketing experience, ideally for DTC or eCommerce brands.
  • Deep Klaviyo expertise — flows, campaigns, segmentation, tagging, reporting, filters, triggers, conditional splits.
  • Strong project management skills — ability to juggle timelines, people, and moving pieces.
  • Excellent QA skills — attention to detail for copy, links, layout, mobile/desktop.
  • Analytical mindset — data-driven decision making, experience with A/B testing and attribution methods (first click, last click).
  • Understanding of email deliverability fundamentals and best practices (SPF/DKIM/DMARC, engagement monitoring, Glockapp, Google Postmaster).
  • Experience designing, executing, and iterating on A/B tests.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with copy, creative, retention, analytics, product and external vendors.
  • Proactive, problem-solving attitude; ability to thrive in a fast-paced ambiguous environment.
  • Clear, respectful, and prompt communication skills for internal teams and external vendors.
  • Detail-oriented — accuracy in flows, invoices, and content quality.
  • Bonus: Basic Figma, HTML, or copywriting skills.
