About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage payroll processing activities for employees across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
- Support payroll reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issues
- Coordinate employee onboarding, offboarding, and employment changes within payroll, benefits, and retirement systems
- Maintain payroll records, including compensation updates, benefit elections, deductions, organizational changes, and employee data updates
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and pay administration processes
- Support year-end payroll activities and compliance requirements across global regions
- Assist with general ledger reconciliations, vacation accruals, and payroll reporting activities
- Monitor regulatory, tax, and legislative updates that may impact payroll and benefits administration
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience processing Canadian and U.S. payroll within a multi-entity, multi-region, or complex business environment
- Payroll certification or equivalent payroll administration experience
- Experience using payroll systems such as UKG, Workday, CloudPay, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and work with large volumes of payroll data
- Advanced Excel skills, including functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs (or equivalent lookup and reporting functions)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential employee information appropriately
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
