About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for ensuring that Vantage’s global EHS standards translate into consistent, effective execution across all business lines
  • Partner with Standards & Governance to develop clear, practical, and measurable program requirements
  • Lead a unified global assurance framework that evaluates how those requirements are implemented at the site level
  • Through audits, assessments, and performance analysis, provide an objective view of how the system is performing in practice and where gaps exist
  • Engage with regional EHS teams, business leadership, and cross-functional partners to drive alignment, influence outcomes
  • Own and execute an enterprise EHS assurance strategy
  • Establish clear performance criteria, controls, and verification mechanisms across all programs
  • Drive consistency across regions while allowing for regulatory and operational flexibility
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics teams to develop dashboards and performance monitoring platforms for transparent performance analysis
  • Monitor and empower the closure of audit findings and corrective actions with local teams
  • Identify systemic trends and translate EHS performance data into actionable insights for business leaders
  • Lead efforts to incorporate assessment insights into standards, training, and operational execution
  • Maintain oversight of priorities, timelines, and deliverables across key initiatives
  • Represent EHS programs effectively in leadership and operational forums
  • Lead development of critical control verification strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or a related degree in science/engineering discipline
  • Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) certification preferred (OHST, CHST, ASP, or CSP)
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in EHS program development, assurance, or systems leadership
  • Proven track record designing and implementing enterprise-level EHS programs and management systems
  • Deep experience in audit, compliance, and assurance frameworks (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 preferred)
  • Equally deep experience in collaborative leadership and influencing behavioral change
  • Strong understanding of risk-based EHS systems and high-risk activity frameworks
  • Demonstrated success operating in a global, matrixed organization
  • Exceptional technical writing and document development skills, especially through a document management system
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into practical, field-usable guidance
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders across Construction and/or Operations environments.
  • Must have current working knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards, and other global regulatory safety standards is highly encouraged
  • Must have familiarity with consensus standards such as those published by ANSI and NFPA
  • Effective ability to operate beyond a compliance-based health and safety management approach to collaborate with all stakeholders to find solutions that support the business while identifying and controlling risk
  • Strategic thinking with strong execution discipline
  • Independent, self-directed, and highly organized
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-track programs simultaneously
  • Strong presence and communication skills in professional settings
  • Operates effectively with ambiguity and change.
  • Familiarity with Procore & Power BI a plus
