Design, build, and optimize scalable, secure data pipelines and data platform solutions using modern Microsoft cloud PaaS and SaaS technologies.
Integrate AI capabilities into the data platform using Azure services.
Develop data models and curated datasets that enable advanced analytics, AI-driven applications, and intelligent search experiences.
Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate requirements into practical data and AI solutions.
Implement data quality, governance, security, and performance optimization practices.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers.
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and platform design decisions.
Evaluate emerging technologies to support the evolution of the organization’s data and AI capabilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or data platform architecture
Proficiency in Python (or equivalent programming language)
Proficiency in SQL for querying, transformation, and performance tuning
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modern data integration patterns
Experience analyzing enterprise data sources
Experience building solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform
Strong knowledge of dimensional data modeling
Working knowledge of networking and security fundamentals
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working in Agile development environments
Experience using collaboration and project tracking tools such as Jira or Microsoft Project
Bilingual in English/French or English/German is considered an asset but not required.
