Lead and execute projects with multiple stakeholders to build collaborative platform features used across Vanta's product
Design and build high-quality, reusable APIs and UI components that other engineering teams easily adopt
Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver cross-cutting features
Participate in on-call rotation to ensure system reliability and respond to incidents
Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor engineers to elevate team practices
Contribute to Vanta's engineering culture and technical direction as we scale

Requirements

8+ years of industry experience with strong fullstack capabilities
Proven experience building user-facing features and platform services consumed by other teams
Experience with React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and modern web technologies
Technical leadership experience leading projects, mentoring engineers, and driving architecture decisions
Platform or internal tools experience building for developer customers
On-call and production operations experience
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Bias for action and comfort working in ambiguity within fast-growth environments
Interest in learning about security and compliance or prior experience in the space
Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
