About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Configure, maintain, and support enterprise job scheduling and workload automation solutions
  • Partner with application development and Software Integration teams to onboard, validate, and deploy scheduled workloads
  • Review job definitions, workflows, dependencies, calendars, triggers, and scheduling requirements
  • Execute workload promotion and migration activities between environments
  • Monitor batch processing and scheduled workloads
  • Investigate job failures, dependency issues, and workflow disruptions
  • Collaborate with application teams to diagnose scheduling-related issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Serve as a subject matter resource on scheduling standards and workload automation best practices
  • Document scheduling processes, support procedures, and operational standards
  • Participate in production support activities and scheduled deployment events
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives for workload automation efficiency and reliability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training, education, and relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise scheduling, workload automation, production operations, application support, or related IT operations
  • Experience with Control-M strongly preferred
  • Experience with comparable tools such as Autosys, Tidal, Redwood, Stonebranch, UC4/Automic, Dollar Universe, or similar technologies
  • Understanding of job scheduling, workflow orchestration, batch processing, job dependencies, triggers, calendars, and execution monitoring
  • Experience supporting production applications and operational processes in a large enterprise environment
  • Ability to investigate workload failures and coordinate resolution with technical support and development teams
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
  • Ability to learn new technologies and operational processes
  • Experience documenting procedures, standards, and support processes
  • Familiarity with IT operations, incident management, change management, or production support practices preferred
  • Must not require visa sponsorship; Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position
