About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew
Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew
Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions
Manages cross-divisional technology-related programs or multiple technology-related workstreams
Drives all phases of the project lifecycle from inception through implementation
Creates and maintains a multi-year program strategy
Provides written and verbal communication to many different audiences within Vanguard
Builds and maintains strategic relationships across sites, departments, divisions, and internal and external partners
Develops strong relationships with program leadership, sponsors, and workstream leads
Ensures all steps are taken to mitigate risk and maintains control, compliance, audit, and legal requirements
Integrates and oversees change management efforts across the overall program
Closely monitors program costs and budget and escalates cost variances appropriately and timely
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible and related business experience
At least four years of technical project management experience
Previous people-leadership experience preferred
Four years leading complex technical programs or initiatives
Undergraduate degree in related field (Computer Science, Engineering) required
Graduate degree preferred
Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional efforts in a matrixed organization
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience working within infrastructure, operations, or enterprise technology environments
Demonstrated people leadership experience
CISSP certification is a plus
