About the role
- Support day-to-day investment stewardship operations & technology platforms to enable Vanguard’s investment stewardship efforts in proxy voting and engagement
- Monitor controls and risks, manage operational issues associated with proxy voting
- Manage and collaborate with internal and external partners
- Provide operational support to Investment Stewardship team’s analysts who are proxy voting and engaging with companies
- Implement and monitor long term technology and process solutions to advance corporate governance activities
- Troubleshoot issues and maintain stability throughout the proxy voting process
- Develop processes and suggest changes to enhance operational efficiency
- Manage production and creation of documentation for internal and external reporting
- Maintain investment stewardship dashboards and create reports
- Monitor controls on proxy voting and engagement activities and suggest improvements
- Integrate new funds and securities into stewardship operations and technology platforms
- Develop and administer communications with internal and external stakeholders
- Be involved in key decisions on operational processes and act as a sole contributor
- Mentor and provide feedback to less experienced crew members
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proven substantial work experience in financial services operations-related roles
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Project management skills
- Experience in proxy voting, investment operations, audit, risk or compliance preferred
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders with competing needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguous situations
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and demands
