About the role
- Provide income tax, estate planning, and/or wealth planning consultations to Vanguard advised clients
- Review client's information and relevant documentation, research client issues, perform analysis to provide suggested solutions, and create client deliverables
- Support wealth and estate planning crew who provide consultations to Vanguard's largest net worth clients within advice offer
- Partner with financial advisors as they support clients in these subject areas and follow Vanguard's investment methodology
- Serve as an internal and external subject matter expert on wealth planning topics and assist in developing financial planning methodology for Vanguard's advice offer
- Analyze internal systems and processes to identify opportunities to improve the client experience and mitigate risk
- Maintain strong knowledge of compliance, regulatory, and departmental policies and procedures, as well as general market trends
- Support department and team initiatives
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required
- Graduate degree (JD, MBA, Master of Tax) or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Minimum of five years related work experience
- Two years of project management experience preferred
- Experience in financial services encouraged
- CFP, CPA, and/or active Law License preferred
- Must be able to commute to Scottsdale, AZ; Charlotte, NC; or Malvern, PA offices for a hybrid three-day in office work schedule
- Travel required to Vanguard offices for training, offsites, or client meetings (anticipated ≤20%)
