About the role

  • Provide income tax, estate planning, and/or wealth planning consultations to Vanguard advised clients
  • Review client's information and relevant documentation, research client issues, perform analysis to provide suggested solutions, and create client deliverables
  • Support wealth and estate planning crew who provide consultations to Vanguard's largest net worth clients within advice offer
  • Partner with financial advisors as they support clients in these subject areas and follow Vanguard's investment methodology
  • Serve as an internal and external subject matter expert on wealth planning topics and assist in developing financial planning methodology for Vanguard's advice offer
  • Analyze internal systems and processes to identify opportunities to improve the client experience and mitigate risk
  • Maintain strong knowledge of compliance, regulatory, and departmental policies and procedures, as well as general market trends
  • Support department and team initiatives
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Graduate degree (JD, MBA, Master of Tax) or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Minimum of five years related work experience
  • Two years of project management experience preferred
  • Experience in financial services encouraged
  • CFP, CPA, and/or active Law License preferred
  • Must be able to commute to Scottsdale, AZ; Charlotte, NC; or Malvern, PA offices for a hybrid three-day in office work schedule
  • Travel required to Vanguard offices for training, offsites, or client meetings (anticipated ≤20%)
  • Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position
  • Experience working remotely with ability to work independently preferred
