About the role

  • Provide expert risk guidance, oversight, and assurance services to enterprise and divisional partners, ensuring alignment with the organization’s operational and strategic risk framework
  • Manage and improve the effectiveness of risk management processes by setting clear goals and strengthening risk assessment and mitigation practices
  • Lead the development and execution of short‑ and long‑term risk strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and key regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify operational and digital risks, streamline processes, and design effective controls that reflect industry best practices
  • Act as a trusted advisor by offering consultation, analytical support, and risk mitigation strategies for new products, services, and business processes
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, establishing credibility as a risk management and compliance thought partner
  • Assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls and recommend enhancements based on emerging risks and industry standards
  • Use analytical tools to evaluate operational risk data and support data‑driven decision‑making
  • Recommend actions to reduce risk exposure across operations, digital channels, and client‑facing processes
  • Participate in special projects and enterprise risk initiatives as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years related work experience, with two years experience in risk management
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • Experience with fraud risk management, lines of defense frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Solid understanding of risk assessment methods, control frameworks, and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Experience analyzing operational, financial, or client‑interaction data to identify and assess risks
  • Familiarity with risks related to client servicing, transaction processing, digital platforms, or fraud prevention in a retail investor environment
  • Ability to develop practical risk mitigation strategies that align with business objectives
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across teams
