About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor operational best practices and maintain warehouse efficiency and financial standards
- Ensure 100% compliance with the company Safety Program
- Receive and transfer supplies and equipment to departments
- Organize storage areas and recommend improvements to floor-space use
- Conduct monthly physical inventory counts, reconcile variances, and input data
- Secure the warehouse by activating alarms and testing systems
- Maintain job knowledge through educational opportunities and technical publications
- Select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees
- Communicate job expectations and monitor, appraise, and recommend compensation actions
- Contribute warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews
- Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
- Resolve problems and identify warehouse operational improvements
- Schedule and coordinate inventory movements and transfers
- Enforce equipment operating instructions, troubleshoot breakdowns, require preventive maintenance, and call for repairs
- Lead and manage a crew of 5–6 employees
- Supervise warehouse employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years as a Supervisor in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Proficient with all MS Office programs
- Proficiency with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
- Experience analyzing data and reporting
- Must be able to obtain and sustain an Airport I.D. Badge, CBP Security Seal, Airport Driver Permit, and/or any local or security level badging needed to fulfill the assignment
- 80–90% travel required
