About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manages the technology solutions for DAR which may include training, technical support, and oversight of the tools.
- Meet and collaborate with DAR staff to interpret business needs and assist in providing technical solutions to attain the users’ end goals.
- Learns capabilities of technology tools and helps department take advantage of full offerings of technology.
- Stay informed on new technology to assist in maximizing efficiencies and achieving departmental goals.
- Look beyond symptoms to uncover underlying causes of problems and identify ways to resolve them.
- Demonstrate a sense of ownership, focusing on and driving critical issues to closure.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of the Salesforce data to identify and elevate opportunities.
- Handle sensitive donor, parent, friend, and student information in the strictest confidence, according to departmental and institutional policies.
- Work cooperatively with Development and Alumni Relations colleagues.
- Maintain strong and effective relationships with Vanderbilt faculty and staff external to DAR.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree is necessary
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience is necessary
- Background in supporting technology tools such as Salesforce, Salesforce managed packages, Apsana, AI, GiveCampus, Mythos or similar tools
- Superior verbal and written communication skills are necessary
- Ability to exercise good judgment in the handling of confidential information
- Ability to use current computer technology, such as Windows, Excel, Word, Teams, Salesforce, and Salesforce related applications
- Candidate must also have the capacity to perform in an intellectually rigorous and complex academic environment
- The ability to apply sound judgment in all situations is required, as are excellent organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities are essential
