Key responsibilities & impact

Lead on-site facility walkthroughs, conduct staff and detainee interviews, and collect data for rigorous analysis.
Manage the creation of complex workpapers and draft site-specific reports outlining deficiencies and recommendations.
Assist in training inspectors on applying standards to field conditions.
Responsible for pulling together the writing of the inspection team into the final report, which will be sent to the QC Manager.
Coordinate with medical subject matter experts to integrate specialized findings into draft reports.
Review sources of evidence for accuracy to ensure reports conform to OIG/OIE Quality Assurance standards.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance auditing, inspections, or evaluations under GAGAS and QSI&E (Blue Book) standards.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Criminal Justice, Public Policy, Finance, etc.).
Proven experience leading audit or inspection teams in a federal oversight capacity.
Superior report writing skills and the ability to produce detailed assessments under tight deadlines.
Ability to walk a minimum of 15,000 steps per day while navigating facility grounds and operations.
Capacity to remain on your feet for extended periods (8–10 hours) during on-site walkthroughs.
Ability to carry equipment (cameras, tablets, laptops) and maneuver through stairs and outdoor areas.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must be able to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Risk public trust fitness screening.
