About the role
- Conduct virtual preparation meetings with grantees, describing the monitoring process, documentation requirements, instructions, and answering questions.
- Collect program data and evaluate grantee compliance with state-specific requirements.
- Evaluate data, documents, and program information to assess grantees' compliance with ISBE policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Interpret the administrative code and apply it to multiple document reviews.
- Conduct observational assessments using the ITERS, FCCERS, and HOVERS tools to measure program quality.
- Prepare reports from completed compliance and quality reviews, maintaining accuracy and adhering to high-quality writing standards.
- Respond to Grantee inquiries regarding the monitoring process.
- Assist and/or participate in training, meetings, and professional development seminars.
- Engage in process development, improvement, and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood development or early childhood education.
- Must live in Illinois.
- At least two years of Supervisory experience in Early Childhood education, programs, or initiatives.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- At least two years of Certification or experience with HOVRS, ITERS, and PICC (certification highly preferred).
- Solid understanding of Early Childhood program rules, prevention initiative program assessment tools, and compliance.
- Experience with web-based compliance software.
- Experience matching field conditions with relevant laws, policies, and best practices.
- Ability to analyze and organize information following multi-step instructions.
- Extreme sensitivity to appropriate recording and transmitting confidential or Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
