About the role
- Lead security architecture design for Google Cloud solutions
- Provide expert guidance on IAM, VPC design, encryption, threat detection, and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Conduct security assessments, risk analysis, and remediation planning
- Support pre-sales activities by contributing to proposals, SOWs, and client workshops
- Introduce and implement enterprise-grade policies for GCP networking, resource governance, and secure access
- Liaise with Google Partner Engineers to stay ahead of platform updates and best practices
- Mentor engineers, review designs, and serve as the technical authority for GCP architecture decisions
- Advocate for security-first thinking across clients and help build a leading Security Practice
- Contribute hands-on to cloud engineering, including Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Develop and review secure code, templates, and automation scripts to enforce security best practices
- Perform cyber security remediation activities and triage vulnerabilities to ensure timely resolution
- Lead design and implementation of GCP-native solutions across security, data, analytics, and platform services
- Work closely with cross-functional teams on cloud transformation initiatives with marquee clients
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture or security engineering
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like IAM, Cloud Armor, Security Command Center, and Chronicle
- Strong understanding of cloud-native security principles, DevSecOps, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Experience with workload migration and infrastructure modernization
- Experience in Agile or consulting environments
- Excellent communication skills and a consultative mindset
- Certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer or Google Professional Cloud Architect are a plus
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Ability to conduct security assessments, risk analysis, and remediation planning
- Mentoring and leadership experience
