About the role
- Lead Valon's compliance function and serve as a key partner to product, engineering, legal, and leadership.
- Shape how ValonOS addresses regulatory requirements facing enterprise clients.
- Translate complex mortgage servicing regulations into product requirements and build scalable compliance programs.
- Operate at the intersection of technology and regulation, balancing regulatory expertise with practical product thinking.
- Support enterprise client relationships and act as a compliance subject matter expert during sales cycles and implementations.
- Drive cross-functional compliance projects and build the compliance team as the function scales.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory roles within financial services, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Deep expertise in mortgage servicing regulations, including CFPB rules (Reg X, Reg Z), FCRA, GLBA, UDAAP, and GSE servicer requirements.
- Experience building or significantly scaling compliance programs at a regulated financial institution or fintech.
- Track record of partnering with product and technology teams to implement compliance requirements.
