About the role

  • Lead Valon's compliance function and serve as a key partner to product, engineering, legal, and leadership.
  • Shape how ValonOS addresses regulatory requirements facing enterprise clients.
  • Translate complex mortgage servicing regulations into product requirements and build scalable compliance programs.
  • Operate at the intersection of technology and regulation, balancing regulatory expertise with practical product thinking.
  • Support enterprise client relationships and act as a compliance subject matter expert during sales cycles and implementations.
  • Drive cross-functional compliance projects and build the compliance team as the function scales.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory roles within financial services, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Deep expertise in mortgage servicing regulations, including CFPB rules (Reg X, Reg Z), FCRA, GLBA, UDAAP, and GSE servicer requirements.
  • Experience building or significantly scaling compliance programs at a regulated financial institution or fintech.
  • Track record of partnering with product and technology teams to implement compliance requirements.
