About the role

  • Own end-to-end oversight of claims filing, property preservation, conveyance, invoice management, credit bureau reporting, and year-end reporting, and REO asset management operations
  • Develop and execute a strategy to streamline and scale workflows in line with investor, insurer, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams with a strong focus on accountability, efficiency, and compliance
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to drive automation and technology-driven solutions that reduce manual work and increase accuracy
  • Serve as SME for all things related to conveyance timelines, claims, property preservation processes, and investor reimbursement protocols
  • Maintain audit readiness and ensure timely, accurate claims submissions to maximize recoverability and minimize curtailments
  • Monitor key metrics (conveyance timelines, claim recovery rates, REO timelines/costs, etc.) and report on performance to leadership and investors
  • Stay current with evolving GSE/insurer guidelines and industry best practices

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in mortgage servicing with deep expertise in claims, property preservation, and REO management
  • 3+ years in a leadership role with proven experience building teams and scaling operations
  • Strong knowledge of investor/insurer guidelines, timelines, and recovery protocols
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver process improvements and system enhancements
  • Data-driven decision-maker with a knack for identifying risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
