- Edit long-form videos (e.g., interviews, features, and editorial videos) and short-form content (e.g., social clips, vertical videos, highlights) optimized for platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and X.
- Efficiently edit, export, and upload video content under tight deadlines while maintaining Polygon’s high production and editorial standards.
- Collaborate with the social media team to tailor edits, formats, and pacing for platform-specific distribution and audience engagement.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with the Supervising Producer and cross-functional teams to align on priorities, creative direction, and deadlines.
- Ensure consistent branding, tone, and messaging across all Polygon video content, regardless of format or platform.
Requirements
- Proven experience editing video for digital platforms (news, entertainment, gaming, or culture content a plus).
- Strong storytelling instincts: pacing, structure, comedic timing, clarity, and audience hooks.
- Proficiency with professional editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, etc).
- Experience delivering social-first edits (vertical video, captions, rapid turnarounds, trend-aware pacing).
- Comfort working with brand templates, motion packages, graphics, and basic audio cleanup/mixing.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Interest in Polygon’s coverage areas: games, entertainment, creators, and internet culture.
