About the role

Valmont is seeking a strategic and tech-savvy Director of AI Products & Automation to lead internal AI and automation efforts
Translate cross-functional needs into scalable, AI-powered solutions and mentor a team of specialists
Lead discovery efforts, define and prioritize use cases, shape product strategies, oversee development and deployment of automation and AI agents
Work closely with stakeholders across departments and report to the Chief AI Digital Transformation
Ensure scalable and secure implementation using platforms like Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or custom agents
Establish KPIs to measure adoption, efficiency gains, and ROI and continuously refine AI strategies

Preferred Bachelor’s with 7+ years relevant experience or associate’s degree with 9+ years relevant experience or 11+ years relevant experience
5+ years in product management, digital transformation, or automation leadership roles
Strong understanding of AI concepts, RPA tools (e.g., Power Automate), and conversational AI (e.g., ChatGPT)
Experience leading cross-functional teams, ideally in a matrix or enterprise environment
Ability to drive complex projects from ideation to execution with measurable outcomes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical mindset and data fluency for decision-making and product iteration
Experience in SaaS product development, internal tools, or enterprise AI adoption
Familiarity with agile methodologies and design thinking
Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem (Power Platform, Copilot, Teams integrations)
Basic understanding of APIs, no-code/low-code tools, or scripting logic
Experience in digital transformation, consulting, business process improvement initiatives, or enterprise IT strategy
