About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop the automation sales team to build the best Pulp & Paper industry sales capability in the Asia Pacific region
- Have your own customer base to serve
- Build and maintain solid working relationships with key customers
- Clearly understand the needs and concerns of customers
- Ensure the right automation solutions at the right time
- Sell/close contracts for new automation systems (DCS, QCS, Analyzers/measurements) investment projects, upgrades, rebuilds within specified territory & customer base
- Develop and manage sales activities within specified geography, product line, or market segment to achieve established sales targets
- Prepare sales forecasts and budgets; monitor sales volume, revenues, and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or master’s Degree
- Proven track record of leading sales team to reach set targets.
- Proven ability in creating & selling profitable solutions, including achieving results in high pressure situations
- Good knowledge of pulp and paper processes and customer drivers gained by 15+ years of experience in working with pulp & paper industry
- Good experience and knowledge of commercial terms / contracts is a plus
- Good interpersonal skills, leadership capability to lead and work in a (virtual) team even in multicultural / matrixed organization
- Good communication skills in English, as well as presentation and facilitation skills
- Willingness and ability to travel
