About the role
- Develop and implement a sustainability due diligence framework tailored to projects and supply chains and integrate due diligence into project planning, procurement, and risk management systems
- Lead the Identification of actual and potential human rights impacts associated with organizational activities, and business relationships and engage meaningfully with stakeholders
- Lead development of sustainability audits and impact assessments and other risk mitigation measures
- Assess corporate leverage and responsibility to act on adverse impacts followed by implementing mitigation and remediation strategies to prevent and address harm
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of sustainability due diligence frameworks and regulations, including EU CSDDD, OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs)
- Strong background in supply chain sustainability, risk management, ethics and compliance, or corporate governance
- Experience of managing global supply chains and establishing processes to mitigate risks in a corporate context is a must
- Field work experience of stakeholder engagement is preferred
- Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Law, Business, or a related field
- 10+ years in sustainability, ESG, compliance, or supply chain management, with 5+ years in leadership roles in the private sector
- Excellent collaboration and influencing skills with an ability to drive results
- Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic global environment
- Fluent English; other languages are considered an asset
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
